Instructions for Using the On-Line Student Feedback Evaluations

Student Feedback Evaluations are ON LINE! That means you can give feedback about your teachers using the on line system and you can do it any time you want while the system is open. 

The On Line Student Feedback Evaluations system will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  You can go on line at any time in this period and EVALUATE YOUR TEACHERS!!!

How do I get to the On Line Student Feedback Evaluations?

  • Go to the STUDENT FEEDBACK EVALUATIONS SYSTEM and begin evaluating your teachers.
  • Enter your student ID and password in the box labeled ‘Login ID’.  There are directions right on the web site.
  • When you have entered your  ID and password, click on the button labeled ‘Sign In’
  • The next screen will ask you if you want to continue in English or Spanish.  Click the button for the language you want to continue in.

How do I evaluate my teachers using the On Line Student Feedback Evaluation system?

  • Once you are logged in you will see a screen that lists your courses.
  • To evaluate your teacher, click on the course.  The evaluation questions will come up automatically.
  • Click on your choice for each evaluation question. Continue to scroll down to complete ALL of the evaluation questions.
  • At the end of the questions is a comment box in which you can write any comments you may have about your professor.  Comments should be brief and useful. DO NOT WRITE YOUR NAME IN THE COMMENT BOX!
  • When you have completed the evaluation questions, click the button labeled ‘Continue’.
  • The next screen will give you the following choices:
    • Submit—to enter your responses into the system
    • Return—to take you back to the evaluation questions so you can change your responses
    • Cancel—to take you back to the course list and clears all the responses for the course you just evaluated
  • To submit your responses, click the “Submit” button.  You will return to your course list and you will see a flag that indicates you have submitted responses for that course.
  • Repeat the evaluation process for all of your courses.

DON’T DELAY…EVALUATE YOUR TEACHER TODAY!

ONCE YOU HAVE SUBMITTED YOUR EVALUATION RESPONSES FOR A COURSE, YOU CANNOT DO ANOTHER EVALUATION FOR THAT COURSE!!!!

Do I have to evaluate all of my courses at the same time?
No!  You can go on line whenever you want to evaluate your courses and teachers.  You must complete the evaluations by the end date indicated above.

Can I print a copy of my evaluation responses?
No!  Sorry about that…but we want to make sure that your responses are anonymous.

Are my course evaluation responses anonymous?
YES!!  Once you click the “Submit” button, your feedback evaluation responses are separated from your personal information.  There is no way that your responses or comments can be linked back to you.

What if I do not complete my evaluations by the end date?
If you do not complete your evaluations by the end date indicated above, you will have lost your chance to evaluate your teachers! Next semester, take the time to do it…on time!

What if I don’t have my own computer?
Free public computers are available all over the Hostos, including the lobby of every building on campus, the Library, and the Student Computing Center (SCC) on the 5th floor of the C-building.  All of these computers have access to the Internet, so you can go on line at any time and complete the evaluations.

What if I am not good with using computers?
The Student Feedback Evaluation system is very easy to use.  No special computer skills are needed to access and use the system.  If you can point and click with a mouse, you can use the system.  Staff at the Student Computing Center (SCC) Help Desk in the C-Building, room C-595, are available to help. Or ask your friends for help!

What if I cannot log on?
All students who are registered in courses for the current semester have a student ID.  Staff and tutors in the Student Computing Center (SCC) can help you get your password and login.  Also, there are links on the login screen to help you get your ID and password.

What if one of my courses is not listed?
If you dropped a course, you will not be able to evaluate the teacher in that course.
