DATE AND LOCATION
The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Lehman College South Field.

TIME
The ceremony will take place from 10:00am – 12:30pm. Graduates are to report to Apex Building at 8:15am. Doors will open for guests at a time to be announced soon.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
The ceremony is open to over 1,350 graduates and candidates from September 2018, January 2019, February 2019 and June 2019.

OBTAINING CAP AND GOWN
You may purchase your cap and gown on campus on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in room C-130 (old bookstore space). The cost is $57. Cash or credit card accepted. If you are not available on this date and time, you could send a friend or relative to buy it on your behalf. The person would need (1) the money to pay and (2) your height (for example: 5 feet, 4 inches).

OBTAINING TICKETS
Students who were just added to the list of candidates may pick up their graduation tickets on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in room C-130 (old bookstore space). If you are not available on this date and time, send a friend or relative to pick up the tickets on your behalf. To do so, please send an e-mail to hostosgraduation@gmail.com with the subject “Authorization to pick up tickets.” Write the following on the e-mail: (1) your name, (2) your EMPL ID, (3) your phone number, (4) name of the person who is picking up the tickets and (5) relationship to you. Please attach a picture of your I.D. to the e-mail.

TICKETS REQUIREMENT
Admission to the commencement ceremony is by ticket only. Each adult and each child—two years and older—must have a ticket to occupy a seat. No tickets will be available at the site. Each ticket admits one person only. Guests MUST bring their tickets to be permitted into the site. No guest will be allowed inside the site without tickets. Tickets are not transferable. Please safeguard your tickets; they are the only way your guests will be allowed into the graduation exercises.

DISABLED STUDENT AND GUEST ACCOMMODATIONS
If you or your guests require wheelchair access assistance or an interpreter for the hearing impaired, please contact the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) at (718) 518-4454 to arrange for seating or services.  You must request these accommodations by Friday, May 24th.

SENIOR PICTURES
The photographer is on campus around every two (2) weeks. Please call Student Activities at (718) 518-6561 to make an appointment.  Photo packages start at $30.  You may check other students’ photo on Facebook using the hashtag #hccseniorpictures

GRADUATION RINGS
Students considering purchasing a graduation ring may visit https://collegerings.herffjones.com/index.cfm?event=showSchools. Go to the line where it says [SELECT ONE] and then look for [Hostos Community College]

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER
On the day of the graduation, all graduating students will march across the stage. A professional photographer will take an individual picture of each student with President Gómez. Representatives from Island Photography (www.islandphoto.com) will photograph the ceremony. You will receive more information (an information card) about purchasing your photograph on the day of the ceremony.

DIPLOMAS
Diplomas will not be distributed during Commencement. The Registrar’s Office will mail a notification to each graduate when diplomas are ready for pick up.

FOREIGN GUESTS AT GRADUATION
Hostos Community College understands that many of you want to share your special day with your loved ones who do not live in the United States. However, Hostos cannot arrange for entrance to the United States for any guest from another country. You may contact the Office of Student Activities (C-371) to get a letter stating that you are a candidate for graduation and that you will be attending the commencement ceremony. You will be required to provide the U.S. Consulate an address for the city and country where your guest will be applying for a visitor's visa, your guest's name, address, passport number and relationship to you. Only the student graduating, with appropriate identification, may obtain this letter.

PROOF OF GRADUATION FOR EMPLOYEES
If you need a letter to show your employer that you are graduating so that you can get the day off from work, please visit the Office of Student Activities (C-371) or contact the office at (718) 518-6561.
