As part of the Hostos Academic Learning Center, the Office of Academic Advisement is responsible for the effective coordination and management of a student's academic advisement. Our primary goal is to provide students with critical information and advice that will help them define, and attain, their educational goals.
The Office of Academic Advisement is a resource for:
- Connecting students with Faculty Advisors
- Providing information about fulfilling Graduation Degree Requirements
- Answering questions about academic policies
- Assisting with course selection, registration, and academic concerns
- Helping students choose a major
- Referring students to campus resources
- Troubleshooting academic issues
The HALC, Office of Academic Advisement is also responsible for managing the Hostos Academic Degree Audit (HADA) system (also known as DegreeWorks) which is a web-based, academic advisement tool that will take courses from a student’s transcript and apply them to fulfill the degree requirements for any major.
Students and advisors are currently accessing and using the Hostos Academic Degree Audit for advisement and registration preparation.
The HADA system is accessible through the CUNY Portal.
