At age 13, Sonia Warshawski witnessed Nazi carrying out atrocities against her family and her people. At 91 now, this resilient Holocaust survivor speakes to middle schoolers and incarcerated men about healing from overwhelming trauma--even as she must navigate her own, difficult crossroads. Big Sonia asks us to consider: What can we do so that our traumas don't define us? Can pain make us stronger?
