On September 16, the Hostos Community College Foundation’s 11th Annual Golf Outing raised more than $100,000 for student scholarships and support services.

The extended Hostos family, who generously contributed their time and resources, included 120 golfers, Title Sponsor Barnes & Noble, Lunch Sponsor Alpha Medical Equipment, and Dinner Sponsor Heating & Burner Supply, as well as Premium Foursomes, and golf hole sponsors.

The weather was perfect, and a raffle, a “ball-drop” contest (which featured a bucket truck), and the annual dinner and reception, all made the event a tremendous success.

Hostos President David Gómez and Foundation Chairman José Sánchez-Kinghorn welcomed all the golfers and dinner guests and thanked everyone who once again got behind the College’s mission, a mission President Gómez proudly stated has been going strong for nearly 50 years.

A special thank you to EVERYONE who donated to and participated in this wonderful event that raised so much support for our most valuable asset: our students!
