On November 16, the annual Celebration of Student Poets was held in the Multipurpose Room. And, as it does each year for close to 20 years, it drew a huge crowd.

Students read original and published creative pieces, lending their own voice to each work.  Winners, selected by a group of faculty, were: Todd Moeller, "Identity Crisis," (first prize and audience prize); Destiny Allen, "Oblivion," (second prize); Tiffany Santos, Untitled, (third prize); Diomar Perez, "Rebel with Cause," (honorable mention); and Yumiko Feliz, "New York City," (honorable mention).

The Hostos English Club, featuring President and Vice President Alma Cayasso and Danielle Stelluto and Secretary and Treasurer Todd Moeller and Destiney Allen, made the event possible, with the help of faculty advisors Andrew Connelly and Christine Hutchins.
