Individuals have gathered.Hostos joined the front lines in the fight against HIV and AIDS on World AIDS Day (Dec. 1) by providing information and services. Offered on the Bridge and throughout the campus were free HIV and other health screenings, free condoms and other health-related resources.

Hostos’ Health & Wellness Center led the way and partnered with the Hostos Nursing and Radiological Technology departments, the Student Government Association and other student and staff volunteers. Outside support came from local health agencies, including Iris House, Planned Parenthood, NYS Dept. of AIDS Services, BrightPoint Health Services, NY Common Pantry, Morris Heights Medical, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and Community Health.
