  • The Bronx Civic Scholars Institute  (BCSI)  is an intensive six-week program for qualified rising seniors that focuses on community engagement, leadership development, and college and career readinesss. Scholars in the program complete a three-credit college American Government course, a daily college and career awareness workshop, and over sixty hours of an internship at a community-based organization that focuses on community organizing and youth activism. In addition, students will embark on field trips in the Bronx each week related to the curriculum.

  • The Summer Intensive Language Program (SIELP) is a six-week program designed to help English Language Learners who have completed the 10th grade improve their English language skills in preparation for success in their transition to college. Students participate in an intensive, history-based thematic curriculum which focuses on the American Revolution. Students also participate in a compute class, swimming and capoiera, and weekly field trips in support of the curriculum. At the end of the program, successful candidates will be placed in a one-credit college ESL courses for the subsequent fall semester.

  • The Pre-Health Intensive Summer Help (PHISH) is an intensive six-week program designed to provide the prerequisite knowledge for students interested in entering the health field. This comprehensive program will expand students knowledge about Chemistry, Math and Biology, and prepare them for college credit courses in these areas. The program also has a college and career readiness component that will allow students to explore health careers and physical education.  Students will also prepare for and take the CUNY skills math assessment at the end of the program
