New York PREP’s success is due in part to the excellent staff members who collaborate to produce an interesting and intellectually demanding academic program. 1997 PREP had the following staff members:

New York PREP emphasizes excellent teaching, enrichment, and creative activities. The faculty is encouraged to engage in instruction and activities atypical of public school education. PREP recruits and retains exemplary faculty from universities and secondary schools. The faculty members are assigned the equivalent of three classes or laboratories, each of which meets one-hour daily. The faculty is available at other times for individual or small group meetings. The undergraduate program assistants are assigned as seminar group mentors or laboratory assistants. New York PREP strives to maintain a strong and visible minority and female staff presence. For example, in this year NYPREP, approximately two-thirds of the faculty was female or minority.
