Salutatorian's Bio

Madelin Gutierrez was accepted at Vanderbilt University and after a few semesters there, she felt isolated and desired to be part of a community. She returned to the Bronx and enrolled at Hostos Community College. Madelin has never looked back and has a great GPA and is planning to attend Columbia University next year. (She is a Global Scholar.) Madelin also represented the college as part of a team organized to compete at the 2010 Hispanic Heritage Quiz Show Competition in Chicago.
