Develop a Career Plan

A career plan helps you determine your skills and interests, what career best suits your talents, and what skills and training you need for your chosen career.

Schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Advisor to begin developing your career plan.

Get started now:

  1. Decide your career goal, which can help you focus more clearly on possibilities available to you.
  • A career goal can be a specific job you want to do or particular field you want to work in. For example: a job can be a Nurse or Teacher or a particular field such as medicine or education.
  • Research careers using career cruising and other resources.
  1. Determine what you need to do to prepare for your chosen career.
  • Find out what kind of experience will you need to be successful in the career.
  • What are the skills required?
  • Consider an internship or volunteer experience as a way to get work experience in the career field.
