RENTAL OPPORTUNITIES

The Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture at Hostos Community College / CUNY offers two fully equipped theatres and an art gallery for rental at competitive rates to all not-for-profit, commercial, corporate, education, and community groups.

Our theatre facilities are ideal for a wide range of programs, including concerts, dance performances, recitals, stage plays, opera, graduations, lectures, meetings and conferences.

In addition, Hostos Center has a museum-grade Art Gallery, with a full-equipped kitchen, perfect for receptions, social gatherings, readings and some performances.

Hostos Center is located on the historic Grand Concourse right off 149^th Street in The Bronx in a clean, safe, residential neighborhood -- easily accessible by mass transit, bus, or car from all parts of NYC and the entire tri-state area

Main Theatre

Proscenium Stage: 42’ wide, 28’ high, 38’ from plaster line to backwall

Capacity: 902 (Orchestra, 622; Balcony 272, 8 wheelchair)

Repertory Theatre

Proscenium Stage: 32’ wide, 24‘ high; 24’ deep from plaster line to backwall

Capacity: 373 (367 fixed seats, 6 wheelchar)

Art Gallery

2000 sq feet. Fully equipped kitchen, reception counter, coat check area. Wait service included.

Capacity: 100-150
