This exhibition contains explicit material that is not suitable for young children or sensitive viewers.

Gay organized by the artist Ivan Monforte, responds to the 10 year anniversary of the critically acclaimed exhibition "DL: The Down Low in Contemporary Art," organized by curator Edwin Ramoran at Longwood Art Projects in 2003. The exhibition “Gay,” examines cultural production by self-identified gay male artists of color through painting, photography, video, drawing, and language. All of these artists embrace, interrogate, and re-examine what it means to negotiate identity in both life and in art. The exhibition will include artist commissions, community events, and several special receptions. A catalog of the exhibition will published featuring an interview with Edwin Ramoran, and contributions by Thomas Lax, Adrian Saldaña, and Ivan Monforte.
