Widely considered as one of the most groundbreaking and influential saxophonists / composers of his generation, multiple Grammy Nominee and Guggenheim and MacArthur Fellow Miguel Zenón leads his quartet in his highly acclaimed “Identities Are Changeable: Tales from the Diaspora.” This epic work, presented with video, is inspired by a series of interviews Zenón conducted with seven New Yorkers of Puerto Rican descent addressing what it means to be Puerto Rican in 21st-century New York City; questions that mirror Zenón's own identity since he moved from San Juan to New York in 1998.
