With the 40th Anniversary of El Bronx Remembered, Nicholasa Mohr, the first Latina to be published by a major publishing house, is honored at Hostos. The celebration includes testimonials plus readings of her work by other writers: Dalhma Llanos Figueroa, Mariposa, Charles Rice-Gonzalez with a dance performance by Arthur Aviles, Carmen Rivera and Rich Villar. Testimonials by Elba Cabrera, and artists Antonio Martorell (via video) and Nitza Tufiño. Opening by Interim President of Hostos Community College, Dr.Devid Gomez.
