In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture presents Momma’s Hip Hop Kitchen (MHHK) for its tenth annual showcase. MHHK is a multifaceted hip hop event designed to showcase women artists, especially women of color. MHHK serves as a social justice community-organizing platform that educates and empowers women of color on issues that impact their lives, including HIV/AIDS and reproductive justice. Artists include NeNe Ali & Jada, Rokafella & her Girls, Lah Tere, DJ Chela, Next Level Dancers, Femme Fatale, Likwuid, Kersten Stevens, Maud Arnold of Syncopated Ladies, Rhyme Like a Girl / Toni Blackman, Elisabet Velasquez, La Bruja & Karina, Xclusive Step Team, Elite Dancers, MC Beats, Audry Funk, Isis The Savior and Shanelle Gabriel.
