The first annual African Heritage Multi-Cultural Music & Dance Festival in the Bronx is a celebration of African culture through music, dance, storytelling, and poetry. The festival is organized for the community by the African Advisory Council of the Bronx Borough President’s Office in partnership with the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture. The event features Adichie (Papa Jungle) from Nigeria, a Bamaya Dancer (Ghana), Perfecta Ekpo (Nigeria), Cora-player Salieu Suso (Gambia), singer Adjaratou Tapani Demba (Mali), singer Michael Olenga (Congo), and Sali Sanogo (Burkina Faso), and many more.
