The African Drum (A Celebration of Multicultural Sharing) - Story and Music by Sandra Robbins
In its fifth decade, the award-winning children's musical puppet theatre, The Shadow Box Theatre, presents The African Drum -- a "shadow puppet-and-people" show beloved by children for almost three decades. Listen to the beat of the African rhythms as they reveal the musical adventure of the little girl Kijana, her animal friends, and the Zimwe (bad man) who tricks her. A drummer, storyteller, a talented cast of performers and See-More, SBT's hallmark puppet weave together the African Folktales How The Turtle Got Its Shell and How The Animals Got Their Colors within Kijana's Tale.
