CUNY FIRST
The mission of the ERP Project is to implement a new
University-wide common suite of policies, processes, and
technologically advanced information systems that will enable
the University to streamline its processes and use its resources
more efficiently. The implementation of a new suite of ERP
software applications represents the most significant enhancement to
CUNY's administrative systems and processes in a generation. This
multi-year effort to replace our legacy systems with a modern ERP
System has involved hundreds of members of our CUNY community.
Scores of administrators have labored to define business and systems
requirements in the format necessary to conduct this very complex
procurement for software and services.
The ERP Project will span
multiple years. CUNY will work closely with its implementation
partners to define a timeline and a process that matches the
University's priorities. CUNY currently anticipates that the
deployment of the ERP System will begin in 2008, and continue over a
two- to three-year period.
