Instructions to Access Hostos Wireless Network

1. After you have turned on your laptop or personal computer equipped with wireless card you will be connected to the Hostos’ wireless network (This does not mean that you are connected to Hostos local area network). This process may take few minutes. Some of you might see following information at the bottom right hand site of the screen. The speed and signal strength are variables and depend upon the kind of wireless card you are using and your location on the campus.
   
   
    

2. Once connected to the wireless network launch the browser.
   
   
    

3. After few moments following Security Alert screen will appear. Select Yes.
   
   
    

4. After few more moments following Wireless Network Log in screen will appear:
   
   
   
    

5. Type in your credentials. Registered users (Hostos faculty, students and staff) who have Hostos provided username (no HOSTOSCC\ in this case) and password may type in their credentials in light blue box on the left side of the screen. Guests who do not have username and password may log in as guest by typing guest@hostos.cuny.edu or their e-mail address in the orange box on the left side of the screen.
   
   
    

6. Once you have successfully logged in, following screen will appear. Please do not close popup log out screen at the bottom right corner of your screen. You may minimize this popup screen.
   
   
    

7. After your work is completed you may log out by clicking the 'Click to Logout' link in popup screen.
   
   

Note: All registered users who log in with their credentials will be able to access all the internal resources of Hostos network as if they are connected to Hostos local area network through their personal computers.
