* ¡Escriba! /Write! won FIRST PRIZE for Best Small College Student Literary Magazine (Eastern Region) for 2006 in the annual contest sponsored by the Community College Humanities Association.

We encourage all Hostos students to submit work.

Please encourage your students to write essays or other pieces with publication in mind. We would love to include academic essays as well as imaginative work.

Writers!
Send (or bring) your work to Prof. Miriam Laskin (Library, Room A 213H) in MS Word or RTF format as an e-mail attachment or on disk. This is a multilingual journal, and written works may be in English, Spanish, French, Italian or any language you prefer.

Contact Prof. Laskin at: mlaskin@hostos.cuny.edu or call her at (718) 518-4207 to submit your writing or be a part of the production team. Please include your full name and a phone number and e-mail address (if you have one). Prof. Laskin will acknowledge receipt of your work and will contact you if she has any questions.

Anything up to 5,000 words is acceptable-- NO LIMIT on NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS PER STUDENT
