How to Make a Copy
The majority of photocopying is done in the Reserves Area (A-308F) on the 3rd floor; however, there is a copier in the Reference Room (A-213K) on the 2nd floor. Please note that if the account balance is not sufficient to cover the cost of copying, copies CAN NOT be made.
Lexmark MultiFunction Printer Copying, Reserves Room (A-308F), 3rd Floor- Lift cover and place item to be copied on the glass.
- Press "Copy" icon.
- Swipe the copy card. (Make sure the barcode strip is facing right and located at the bottom of the card)
- "Available Balance" will appear on the screen showing the funds that remain in the account.
- Press "OK".
- "Copy From" and "Copy To" are located in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Press "Copy From" to select the size of the item to be copied.
- "Letter" for 8.5 x 11
- "Legal" for 8.5 x 14
- "Tabloid"(11 x17) for other sizes
- Press "Copy To" to select the size of the copy.
- Letter" for 8.5 x 11
- Legal" for 8.5 x 14
- If more than one (1) copy is needed, there are two (2) ways to select the number needed.
- Locate the "Copies" box at the bottom center of the screen. Press "+" to increase and "-" to decrease the number of copies.
- Press the number pad to the left of the screen for desired number of copies.
- Press the green "Copy It" button on the screen OR press the green button to the right of the screen to make copies.
- The screen will display "Scanning... "
- The screen will display to grey buttons
- Press "Scan the Next Page" if additional pages need to be copied.
- Press "Finish the Job" if all pages have been copied. The copies will not be made if this button is not pressed.
- The screen will display the remaining account balance and "Your documents have been copied successfully. Would you like to copy additional documents?"
- Press "Yes" to copy other documents. Press "No" to finish.
- Remove the copies from below the screen.
Minolta Coin-Operated Copying, Reserve Room (A-308F), 3rd Floor
- The Minolta coin-operated copier only accepts nickels, dimes, and quarters.
- Lift cover and place item to be copied on the glass.
- Insert Coin(s).
- "Paper" is located on the lower right side of the screen.
- Press "Paper" to select the size of the item to be copied.
- "Letter" for 8.5 x 11
- "Legal" for 8.5. x 14
- "Auto" for other sizes
- Press green "Start" button to the right of the screen to make copies.
- Remove copies from the lower left side of the copier.

- Type username and press "OK".
- Type password and press "OK".

- Press "Yes" to copy other documents. Press "No" to finish.
- Remove the copies from below the screen.
How to Print
Printing can be done only in the Reference Room (A-213K), located on the 2nd floor. Print jobs can be sent from any computer workstation located in the Reference room. Please note that if the account balance is not sufficient to cover the print job(s), the jobs WILL NOT print.
- Click "File" and select "Print" OR press the "Print" icon to send a print job.
- A screen will appear with two boxes. The top box is for the username and the bottom box is for the password.
- Enter the username and password in the appropriate box. (The entries are case sensitive)
- If an incorrect username and password at this screen, patrons will not be notified of the mistake. Please confirm that the username and password are correct before sending any documents to the printer.
- Print jobs can be released from the release station or any Lexmark Multifunction Printer in the library.
- At the "Welcome Pharos Station" screen, press any key to continue.
- The "Identifying Yourself" screen will appear.
- Enter username in the top "Logon ID" box.
- Enter password in the bottom "Password" box.
- Press "Enter" or click "Log on".
- The "Releasing Print Jobs" screen will appear.
- The remaining account balance will appear next to "Balance Total" in the lower left of the screen.
- The "Jobs Sorted by Date and Time" grid will list all print jobs that have been sent by the patron.
- Click the print job to be printed.
- Above "Balance Total", the number of sheets and the total cost of the print job will appear.
- If the balance is not sufficient to cover the cost of the print job, the job WILL NOT print.
- Click "Print" to release the print job. OR Click "Delete" if the print job is no longer wanted.
- The job will be printed from the Lexmark printer located to the immediate right of the release station.
- Click "Log Off" when finished.
- Press "Release Station" icon.
- Type username and press "OK".
- Type password and press "OK".
- "Select Your Documents" will appear on the screen.
- Every print job will be listed with an attached box on the right side.
- The remaining account balance will be listed in the lower left of the screen.
- Press the box to the right to select a print job. (A green check mark will appear when the print job has been selected.)
- Press "OK".
- "Do you want to print the following document?" will appear on the screen.
- Press "Yes" to print and "No" to cancel the print job.
- The next screen will display "Your documents are being printed. Please pick them up from the following printer:"
- If there are additional print jobs the screen will display the following: "Would you like to print or delete additional documents?" Press "Yes" to continue. Press "No" to finish.
- If there are no additional print jobs, the screen will display the following: "Currently, there are no documents." Press "OK".
- Retrieve print jobs from the lower section of the printer below the screen.
- Press "Release Station" or "Printer Release" icon.
- Swipe the copy card. (Make sure the barcode is facing right and located at the bottom of the card)
- "Select Your Documents" will appear on the screen.
- Every print job will be listed with an attached box on the right side.
- The remaining account balance will be listed in the lower left of the screen.
- Press the box to the right to select a print job. (A green check mark will appear when the print job has been selected.)
- Press "OK".
- "Do you want to print the following document?" will appear on the screen.
- Press "Yes" to print and "No" to cancel the print job.
- If "Yes" is pressed, enter password and press "OK".
- The next screen will display "Your documents are being printed. Please pick them up from the following printer:"
- If there are additional print jobs the screen will display the following: "Would you like to print or delete additional documents?" Press "Yes" to continue. Press "No" to finish.
- If there are no additional print jobs, the screen will display the following: "Currently, there are no documents." Press "OK".
