Best community college library in the country as voted by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, receiving their annual national ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award.

Hostos Student Ambassadors Program, a new initiative that develops participants’ leadership skills by combining theory with practical experience. Our student ambassadors have participated in the 2007 SOMOS EL FUTURO CONFERENCE and the 2007 MODEL NEW YORK STATE SENATE SESSION PROJECT.

Highest passing rate for Allied Health Professions in the Tri-State Area

Serrano Scholars, a unique partnership of public and private institutions of higher education that aims to encourage and prepare college students from diverse ethnic backgrounds to enter careers in international affairs and national security. Founded in 2001, the Serrano Scholars Program joins Hostos Community College with Columbia University's School of General Studies (GS) and School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) to provide participants with the educational and professional background necessary for leadership roles in foreign affairs and national defense.
