As a result of being awarded the 2012 New York State Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Hostos Professor Rees Shad was interviewed this past Sunday, December 9, 2012 in the NBC News show “The Debrief with David Ushery”.

The U.S. Professors of the Year program salutes the most outstanding undergraduate instructors in the country—those who excel in teaching and positively influence the lives and careers of students. Eugenio María de Hostos Community College, part of The City University of New York (CUNY) system, was founded in 1968.
