LEARNER, EDUCATOR, AND ADMINISTRATOR PORTAL
LEAP is a campus-wide information management system that provides collaborative access to students, faculty, and administrators so that they can interact seamlessly to identify solutions to student educational challenges. A data warehouse connects LEAP to SIMS, the Hostos databases, and web resources.
LEAP integrates many student data inputs from CUNY test results, faculty, tutors and counselors, and allows electronic interactions among faculty and administrators to enable them to work together more effectively to identify and analyze solutions. Through LEAP, students can be referred to subject-specific tutoring and/or counseling; faculty can revise curriculum or teaching processes accordingly; and department chairs and administrators are able to conduct departmental or division-wide analysis to make better-informed decisions about resource allocation based on student needs.
