1. What do I do to reserve a lab?
To reserve a lab, please submit your request by completing the Lab Reservation Form.

2. What do I do to reserve a “Carrito”?
To reserve a “Carrito” visit the Main Office C-513, or call 718-518-6523.

3. How do I find out if the Center is open?
To inquire about the center Operational hours, contact the Main Office C-513, phone 718-518-6523.

4. Are all labs open the same hours?
No, the classroom-teaching labs and the faculty lab hours are different from the open lab (C-595).

5. What do I do to report a broken computer in the ACC?
To report a classroom-teaching lab computer or printer problem please complete the Repair Request Form.

6. Can I install software I need to use for class or personal use?
No, adding software to our system can create security risks and cause unintended consequences for other applications. Any software has to be tested carefully. The ACC must also verify and comply with all software licensing requirements; therefore we will not permit students, faculty or instructional staff to install software applications on the system we manage.

7. What do I do if the printer runs out of paper and/or toner in the ACC?
To request paper for classroom labs contact the Main office C-513, ext. 6523

8. What do I do if a student needs tech help?
To obtain a quick help from a Tech Tutor go to Open Lab C-595.

9. What do I do if a student has problem accessing Blackboard or his/her e-mail account?
To reset Blackboard or e-mail password account, go to the Help Desk within the open Lab in C-595.

10. What are the rules of the labs?
Most common rules include the following:
  • Children are not allowed in the labs
  • Absolutely not food or drink in the labs
  • Cellular conversation are prohibited in the labs
ACC rules are posted in all classroom-teaching labs, as well as the open lab.
