Eugenio María de Hostos Community and Medgar Evers College of The City University of New York have invited CUNY colleagues from campuses across the city to participate in an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to the African influence on the cultures of the Americas . The proposed conference will be hosted one-day at each participating campus and is scheduled to take place during the November 2006, CUNY month celebration.
