Changes In Requirements For An Associate In Science (A.S) Degree

The requirements for the Associate in Science Degree make it versatile and appealing to students planning to enter professions in the Sciences or to Medical related programs and provides students with the two first years of study required to major or minor in these fields at the senior college level.

Graduation Requirements
  • All first-time freshman students must take SSD 1000
  • College requires successful completion of CUNY Tests in reading, writing, and mathematics; the College Proficiency Exam (CPE); 16 CPI units as required, (see College Catalog); and 30 credits in Liberal Arts courses. Students must complete 60 credits for the Associate in Science Degree.
  • Students should consult Natural Science or Mathematics faculty advisors to discuss their choice of disciplines.
