Dual Degree Program

Program Overview:

Hostos Community College offers Associate in Science (AS) degrees in Civil, Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. These programs are jointly registered, dual admission programs with the existing Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degrees at The City College of New York. The programs have been designed to meet the licensure guidelines of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and will provide Hostos students with the same curriculum as the first two years of the licensure qualifying program required at CCNY. Upon successful completion of the lower division at Hostos, students will have a seamless transition to the upper division of the baccalaureate program at The City College of New York.

If your last semester will be this Fall 2013, please fill out the online transfer application. (Only students who are going to graduate can transfer with the privilege of the dual degree program. Please bring a copy of your application to B445 or send a PDF file to kcontreras@hostos.cuny.edu )

Summer Institute 2013

Early advisement begins on Monday, March 18th, 2013. Contact your advisor today to make an appointment.

E-Permit registration period: March 18th through April 5th.

Hostos Chemical Engineering student Dane Christie has been accepted into Princeton, Johns Hopkins and Delaware Universities to do his PhD. He is graduating this coming June at The City College of New York, Grove school of Engineering.

Hostos Civil Engineering students, Stanley D. Tineo Tineo and Nelson Altagracia & Hostos Electrical Engineering student Mohamed Afoda-Sebou will also graduate this February at The City College of New York, Grove school of Engineering. They will now pursue their Master degrees.

Last Summer 2012, Joseph Wokpetah a Chemical Engineering Student graduated from The City College of New York, Grove school of Engineering. He is currently doing his PhD at Penn State University.
