Our Philosophy Regarding Technology Instruction
The Office of Instructional Technology (OIT) represents the College's effort to make technology an effective and integral part of the academic endeavor of the institution. Our mission is to provide students with a level of computer literacy that will enable them to participate more effectively in their academic career; and to create a supportive environment in which the possibilities of distance education can be realized to better serve the needs of an ever increasing number of students who may find it difficult to fit their family and work responsibilities into a traditional academic schedule. We offer the practical skills and educational philosophies that will help students to be successful, lifelong learners in this Digital age.
Our Technology instruction employs a variety of methods, including group and individual instruction and is offered through open workshops, course-related technology workshops, and self-guided online tutorials.
