“Lecciones del Quijote, Quixote's Legacy”
This exciting two day symposium will focus on Cervantes’ novel, Don Quijote. Since it is the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first part of the novel, Hostos is celebrating by bringing together Don Quijote scholars and lovers to discuss, analyze, and learn about Cervantes’ accomplishment of a life time. Presentations will include: Quijote and film, Quijote and music, teaching Quijote, and much more.
Throughout the spring semester, the Serrano scholars along with faculty and staff will study Edith Grossman’s translation, Don Quixote in a book discussion facilitated by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Daisy Cocco De Filippis, Ph.D.
