Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you completed a FAFSA in the 2008-09 school year, you might have a 2009-10 Renewal FAFSA.

Remember to list our Federal School code in "STEP SIX" of the 2009-10 FAFSA to assure we get your information. Hostos Community College Federal School code is 008611.

After you have taken the above steps, you will be asked to complete an Express TAP Application (ETA), if you fill out the FAFSA on the web, or you will receive the ETA by mail. Information gathered from your FAFSA and your family's calculated New York State Net Taxable Income will be preprinted on the form. Review this information, change any incorrect items, complete any missing items, then SIGN THE FORM ELECTRONICALLY (if you used FAFSA on the Web), OR MAIL THE FORM USING THE RETURN ENVELOPE.
