POSITION:    Assistant/Associate Professor Biology Unit
                         Department Natural Sciences




POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

Instruction in undergraduate biology courses. Course and curriculum development; research and scholarly activities leading to professional growth; student guidance; participation in departmental and college assignments; and other tasks normally associated with a full-time teaching position. Evening/week-end schedule may be required.

 

 


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Doctorate degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited university in the discipline of Biology. The candidate must have demonstrated evidence of significant success as a teacher. In addition, he/she must have a record of significant achievement in his/her field, continued growth and effectiveness in teaching. Teaching experience in an urban multi-ethnic setting is desirable. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are desirable.

 

 


SALARY:     Assistant Professor: $38, 801 - $67,092     

                       Associate Professor: $50,321 - $80,020

                       FLSA Status Exempt
