POSITION:
Assistant Professor in Urban Health Studies
(Anticipated Tenure Track Position)
Duties:
To teach all levels of undergraduate courses in health. To develop
innovative health programs and to support new educational initiatives via
external funding. To participate in departmental and college assignments,
community service, student guidance and field supervision, research and
scholarly activities leading to professional growth; and other tasks
normally associated with a full time teaching position.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate must possess a doctorate degree in any of the following
fields: health education; health behavior; health psychology; public health;
MD-MPH; and community health. Prior college-level teaching experience and
evidence of scholarly activities are also required. A record of extramural
funding is desirable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are advantageous.
Salary:
Assistant Professor: $38,001 - $66,292
(Salary commensurate with educational background and college teaching
experience.)
