POSITION:
Assistant Professor Modern Languages Unit
(HUMANITIES DEPARTMENT)
(Anticipated Full-Time Tenure Track Position)
FLSA: EXEMPT
Duties:
To implement and supervise a minor in Multilingual Journalism. To teach one
or more romance languages as a foreign language (elementary, intermediate,
and advanced levels). Course and curriculum development and coordination;
research and scholarly activities leading to professional growth; student
guidance; participation in departmental and college assignments and other
tasks normally associated with full-time teaching position.
Qualifications:
Earned doctorate, with emphasis in Journalism. Direct experience as a
journalist required. Experience in foreign language instruction is desired
as well as experience teaching diverse multicultural bilingual student
populations in an urban educational setting.
Salary:
$35,031 - $61,111
(Commensurate upon educational qualifications and work experience)
