ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
BUSINESS - DEAN: Position #101F Responsible for academic leadership of a growing Business School located minutes from New York's financial center; development of strong and innovative degree and certificate programs; and leading the effort to attain professional accreditation. Oversee implementation of new and revision of existing curricula and initiatives in distance learning, articulation and pedagogy. Identification, scheduling and assessment of full-time and adjunct faculty. Strong outreach to corporations and other business entities to create opportunities for fundraising, marketing, internships, and employment. Qualifications: Doctorate preferred. Advance or terminal degree in appropriate discipline with exemplary and balanced record of successful administrative or executive experience and demonstrated success, or significant promise, in fundraising required. Strong experience with the business community and a enthusiasm for the role of information technology in business and education desired. Active involvement in professional organizations.
SOCIAL WORK - PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Position #301F Academic leadership for implementation of new MSW program. Faculty identification and course scheduling. Develop an effective collegial environment; facilitate faculty teaching and research activities. Establish and maintain fieldwork relationships throughout New York City. Represent the program's interests in regional social work, social policy, and social education arenas. Qualifications: curriculum development and experience as department chair preferred. Preference to those who are committed to exploring links between theory and practice. Knowledge of regional social work issues and agencies desired. Strong record of research productivity; analytical, planning and communication skills; Ph.D./DSW required.
DIRECTOR FOR ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES: Position #501F Responsible for the overall coordination of academic services for the Office of the Dean for the School of Human Services. Will work with the Dean in monitoring class enrollments, faculty recruitment, investigating student's concerns and follow-up; interfacing with the Registrar, Admissions and Student Services to facilitate the admission process for all students as it relates to the academic progress of the learner. Participates in meetings with the faculty and follows up accordingly. Assist the Dean in grant development; follow up with special projects. Qualifications: Masters degree required, experience in higher education, knowledge of Microsoft Office and related computer skills, research skills desirable, and strong written, analytical, oral, organizational and planning skills are a must.
ASSISTANT TO THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: Position #701F Position requires experience in organizing the operations and procedures of a recently established office; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while providing full administrative support to the Vice President; Qualifications: Bachelors degree and professional experience in an academic setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 97/2000. Indicate salary requirements when applying.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO LIBRARY DIRECTOR-PART-TIME: Position #801F Responsible for assisting the Library Director in office duties including general memo writing and communication with a diverse and dispersed staff plus other administrative duties as designated. Assist in setting up and maintenance of Library budgets, staffing, etc. Qualifications: College degree and proficiency in all Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Power Point. Experience with budget and excellent communications skills. Professional experience in an academic library setting preferred.
FACULTY POSITIONS Qualifications for all appointments: Terminal or advanced degree with significant professional experience required. College teaching; curriculum development/interdisciplinary experience; strong commitment to teaching; and demonstrated ability in working with urban, multicultural, and diverse adult students preferred. Evidence of teaching and/or professional excellence, on-going scholarship, and community service desired. Service on committees, student advisement, participation in professional development activities, and performance of other faculty duties as requested. ACCOUNTING: Position #104F Undergraduate faculty to teach Accounting; Intermediate Accounting; Cost Accounting and Capital Budgeting; Financial Planning and Management. Qualifications: MBA, with preference given to Certified Public Accountant. ACCOUNTING: Position 9402F Graduate faculty to teach core MBA courses in Accounting with some administrative responsibilities at extension center; secondary expertise in Business Management and Law; Statistics, or Economics. MBA/CPA required; JD/MBA/CPA or Ph.D. in Accounting/CPA preferred. COMPUTERS: Position #105F Undergraduate appointment to teach Computer Applications for Management; Introduction to Management Data Processing; Productivity Tools. MBA required, with preference given to Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) designation. INDUSTRIAL PSYCHOLOGY AND ORGANIZATION BEHAVIOR/HUMAN RESOURCE AND LABOR RELATIONS: Position #403F Graduate instruction and research supervision in organizational behavior, human resource management, labor law and entrepreneurship. Ph.D. and professional business experience required. MBA a plus. LAW- Position #404F Law professor with a specialization in business and entertainment law. Also capable of teaching contracts and negotiations, and labor law or sports law. JD plus high level professional experience required. Dual degree preferred (e.g. JD/Ph.D, JD/CPA, JD/MIS).
MULTIMEDIA AND E-COMMERCE: Position #405F Graduate instruction and research supervision in multi-media design and production; E-commerce; Internet business models and strategies; Internet marketing; social dynamics of computer technologies; and the digital economy. Ph.D. and professional experience required. MBA a plus. ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT: Position #601F Graduate appointment to teach courses in Management Theory; Organizational Analysis, Government and Public Policy; and Public Administration. Ph.D. required. POLITICAL SCIENCE: Position #102F Lawyer to teach Political Philosophy; Political Processes; Business Law; Introduction to Values and Ethics; Media and Values; Business Values; and Cross Cultural Values and Ethics in undergraduate Business program. Juris Doctor and BA in Political Science required.
SPORTS, RECREATION AND LEISURE SERVICE MANAGEMENT: Position #407F Graduate instruction and research supervision in recreation, sports management, and psychology/sociology of sports and leisure. Secondary expertise in tourism and hospitality; therapeutic recreation or sports; and recreation marketing. MBA/Ph.D. and high level professional experience required. SCIENCE EDUCATION: Position #502F Experienced instructor to lecture and lead group discussions in lower-level Human Services courses in Introductory Biology, Psychology, Developmental Math, Computer Literacy, and Social Science Research. Ph.D. preferred.

WRITING.- Position 9103F Instructor experienced in developmental and professional writing to teach courses in Fundamentals of Business Writing; Written and Oral Communications; Managerial Communications; Supervision Skills; Business Reports and Presentations in BBA program. MA in English with a specialization in Writing required. WRITING/COMPUTER LITERACY: Position #504F Interdisciplinary specialist to teach introductory Human Service program courses in Writing and Computer applications (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, etc.), Literature, and Composition. Ph.D. or Ed. D. in English Literature, Linguistics, or related field preferred.
