HEAD TEACHER IN HOSTOS CHILDREN'S CENTER
DUTIES:
The Head Teacher is responsible for the following: planning and implementing day-to
day educational program, supervising classroom assistants and aides, planning and implementing strategies from positive parental involvement, maintaining daily attendance records, assuming equal share of staff housekeeping responsibilities, taking responsibility for the learning environment of the classroom (e.g.; arrangement, appearance, discipline, etc.), gearing the program to the individual child's needs and interests of the children, participating in professional development activities, performing other duties as assigned by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. New York State
Certified Preferred. Two years of teaching experience in an Early Childhood setting.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a
plus.
SALARY: $27,500 - $31,500
Commensurate with credentials and experience.
