HOSTOS HRA ASSESSMENT CENTER COORDINATOR
(GRANT FUNDED)
CONTINUING AND WORKFORCE EDUCATION UNIT
DUTIES: Reporting to the Director of Continuing and Workforce Education, the Hostos Human Resources Administration (HRA) Assessment Center Coordinator has responsibility for planning, organizing, and administering the assessment program for referred HRA clients. The Coordinator develops and manages support initiatives and services and supervises a team of up to five full-time and five part-time support personnel. S/he develops, maintains, and oversees the computerized client database in full compliance with HRA requirements in reporting, including but not limited to: academic support outcomes assessment; enrollment and attendance in academic support initiatives and supplemental instruction; all initiatives; and budgetary expenditures.
The Coordinator trains support assistants in assessment procedures, as well as pre-service and in-service programs; holds regular unit meetings; develops workshops, materials, and anew initiatives; makes presentations to HRA clients; and works with HRA counselors/job developers in identifying and meeting the support needs of HRA clients. S/he prepares regular internal and external reports; evaluates the support and assessment program; and makes recommendations to the Director of Continuing and Workforce Education as needed.
S/he will also be responsible for coordinating the HRA components of the Continuing and Workforce Development Unit of the College and directing HRA workforce and job placement programs, including the Employment Services and Placement (ESP) initiative year round. This responsibility would include, but not be limited to, monitoring client attendance; recruiting potential HRA supported non-public assistance clients; holding meetings with HRA Assessment Center personnel; supervising the program staff; and attending College and University-wide meetings to represent the Hostos Continuing and Workforce Education Unit. Other duties would include HRA-related activities as assigned by the Dean of Continuing and Workforce Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum of eight (8) years experience in developing, implementing, and managing programs.
· Experience and understanding of HRA regulations.
· Successful track record in job placement.
· Related experience in such areas of recruitment, fund raising, proposal writing, marketing, grants administration, budget
planning/administration, and career services highly preferred.
· Experience developing, implementing, and leading workshops.
· Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
· Supervisory experience.
· Experience with developing and maintaining computer-based information applicable to program management.
· Ability to understand, speak and write in Spanish preferred.
SALARY:
$52,898 - $55,015
(Depending on educational qualifications and work experience)
