| It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Admissions and
Recruitment Website. The Hostos experience is a unique
among CUNY colleges. We are a small college
that is dedicated to creating an educationally rich,
friendly and warm environment. Our faculty and staff
will provide you with one-on-one academic support that
will help you develop the skills and confidence to
achieve your personal and professional goals. |

We offer a variety of educational, athletic, fine arts,
co-curricular and student support services to help make your
experience a positive one. While at Hostos, you can attend career workshops on resume
writing and sharpen your interviewing skills, swim in our
Olympic-sized swimming pool, exercise in our state-of-the-art
weight and aerobic centers, and see a cultural show at one of
our theaters. You can also learn another language and be able to
speak it with your fellow students. Hostos offers scholarships
and services for students with special needs.
New students have the opportunity to attend workshops and
an orientation on financial aid and college life. We are here to help

college reserves the right to deny admission to any
student if in its judgment, the presence of that student
on campus poses an undue risk to the safety or security
of the college or the college community. That judgment
will be based on an individualized determination taking
into account any information the college has about a
student's criminal record and the particular
circumstances of the college, including the presence of
a child care center, a public school or public school
