Veterans and dependent of veterans are
entitled to a variety of benefits. For all students who plan to
receive educational benefits under the provision of the G.I.
Bill, will have their educational benefit claims sent to:

Certificate of Eligibility for Vietnam,
Persian Gulf, Malaysia, and National Guard Veterans have their
educational benefit claims sent to:

The Veteran should then report to the
College Veterans Liaison Representative with the Certificate of
Release/Discharge from Active Duty Form (DD214) or Certification
of Eligibility Form (DD2384/2384-1). The receipt of benefits
takes approximately eight to ten weeks. Veterans applying for
benefits must be able to document their service in the military,
marital status, and number of dependents they support.
It is necessary for every veteran
attending Hostos to report to the Veterans Liaison Office each
successive session (that is, in September, January, and June) to
initiate the veteran's and dependents enrollment status to the
VA. Personal and academic counseling are available for veterans
and dependents of veterans in the Office of Counseling Services.
