Meet
Linda Anderson, Ph.D.
This Native New Yorker temporarily left our great state to attend
Boston University but triumphantly returned to earn her Doctorate in
Clinical Psychology from Columbia University.
Now,
Dr. Anderson has maintained an independent practice in Clinical Psychology for
more than 15 years in New York City, where she treats children, adolescents,
adults and facilities women's groups.
Formerly, she served as a staff psychologist at Beth Israel
Medical Center, consulting psychologist at The Dalton School and adjunct
professor at Columbia's Teacher's College. Dr. Anderson, a frequent
contributor to Essence magazine, recently was part of their "Special
Anniversary Issue", to discuss rapidly evolving challenges facing
professional women of color. They will also feature her as a contributing
advisor/therapist in an upcoming "Essence Make Over" book. Dr. Linda Anderson has appeared in numerous media outlets
discussing a truly diverse range of mental health related topics.
