Biography

Eugene B. Sohn serves as the Director of Affirmative Action, Compliance, and Diversity.  From 2005 through April 2010, Mr. Sohn was an Agency Attorney in the New York City Fire Department’s Equal Employment Opportunity Office.  Prior to the FDNY, Mr. Sohn was a litigation associate at the law firm of Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy and Bach, LLP, where he worked on medical malpractice, insurance subrogation, and civil rights matters.  His career began as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, where he represented the New York City Police Department and other City agencies in federal civil rights cases.  Mr. Sohn holds degrees from Columbia University (B.A. in Political Science) and University of Notre Dame Law School.
