Tuition is the amount of money you must pay to
attend classes in college. The tuition cost depends on whether students are
full-time (carrying 12 or more credits per semester) or part-time (carrying
fewer than 12 credits per semester), and whether they are a New York State or
out-of-state residents. (A New York State resident attending Hostos Community
College must file a certificate of residence with the college. These
certificates are available at the county offices throughout the state.)

CUNY ACCELERATED FEE:
This fee does not apply to non-degree students who pay on a per billable equivalent credit
basis regardless of the number of credits for which they register. This
non-instructional fee will be applied uniformly to resident and non-resident students.

PAYMENTS:
The Student Activity Fee is $62.60 for full time students (12
or more billable equivalent credits) and $29.10 for students
registered for less than 12 billable equivalent credits. The Student Activity
Fee should be paid in cash. Returning students must show proof of their ability
to pay tuition and fees
at the time of registration
or must be able to qualify for a
hardship deferment.
Please note that the Bursar will accept credit cards
(Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Debit Cards), personal checks, cash, money orders or certified checks for
payment. All tuition and fee schedules are subject to change without prior notice,
at any time, upon action of the
Board of Trustees of the City University of New
York. Also, The Board of Trustees of The City University of New York reserves the
right to make changes of any nature in the academic programs and requirements of The City
University of New York and its constituents colleges. All programs, requirements,
and courses are subject to termination or change without advance notice.
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND

The Student Activity Fee is not refundable!
To be eligible for a refund, students must officially
withdraw in person at the Registrar's
Office or by U.S. mail (the date received by
the Registrar's Office, not the post-mark
date will be used). Emails or telephone
calls are not accepted. Students who stop attending class and do not officially withdraw or take a leave of absence
will not be eligible for a refund. A student whose status changes from full to part time during the first three weeks of class, will pay a percentage of the cost of the course
(s) dropped, based upon the refund schedule
[refer to the
Academic Calendar for more info.]. Students who drop all their courses during the first three weeks of the semester will still be liable for tuition based upon the withdrawal and refund schedule.
