Campus Crime & Violence in the Workplace Prevention Videos
The Hostos Community College Department of Public Safety, presents two online video training programs "Shots Fired on Campus When Lighting, Strikes" and Recognizing and Preventing Violence in the Workplace. Both online video training programs were created by the Center for Personal Protection and Safety and the Safe Travel Institute. The training is available to all Hostos Community College students, faculty and staff to assist with your personal protection in the event of an active shooter incident on campus.
The Recognizing and Preventing Violence in the Workplace video is presented as a training tool in conjunction with the college’s Workplace Violence Policy. Each training video is approximately 20 to 27 minutes in length. Faculty and Staff can access faculty/staff and student video editions while students can view the student editions.
The Public Safety Department can also make this training available for any student group, staff or faculty meeting, or office on campus that would like an in-person presentation of either of these two very important topics. To schedule an in-person training session for your group, meeting, or office, contact Specialist Saul Fraguada at Sfraguada@hostos.cuny.edu and or Specialist Carlos Suarez at CSuarez@hostos.cuny.edu or by calling 718-518-6888.
