A financial counselor (FC) will assist you with your financial independence and will:

• Provide you with credit your report (s)

The FC will be able to review your credit report, explain everything your credit report outlines, and discuss the actions you need to take to improve weak credit or to build or re-build your credit

• Assist you with creating a budget

The FC will also help you develop a budget, so you can obtain a savings account; will help you figure out which bank would work for you and your needs

• Have resources to assist with your financial goals

The FC will work with you to achieve your financial goals whether if you have poor credit, good credit or no credit

• Help reduce your debt
• Start saving for the future
