Mission Statement:
The mission of the Wellness Coordinator is to educate and empower the Hostos student body and staff in respect to the growing field of wellness. The emphasis is on accentuating and promoting positive lifestyle choices rather than treating an illness after it has taken hold. Increased student awareness of the benefits of physical and emotional wellness will result from various learning forums. Integration with the aforementioned Health Services Office and Athletics department will help to amalgamate the various branches of the college.

3)

The Coordinator plans on improving the health, strength and stamina of Hostos athletes by partnering with their respective coaches in an injury prevention/strength training schedule.
The purpose is to prepare athletes for their upcoming varsity season and facilitate their ability to affectively compete with the opposition at a high level.

Through the overseeing of the immunization documentation process, the Coordinator partners with Hostos’ resident nurse and related personnel. The Coordinator is also a liaison between the Health Services department and Admissions/Registration to ensure the medical safety and proper legal standing of the Hostos community.

Location
The Center is located at 450 Grand Concourse ( "C" Building), Rm. C-163. The building and its offices are accessible to individuals who use wheelchairs.
