The Transfer Center of Hostos Community College provides services to help you make the most of your college education. We are committed to providing integrated services and resources to students looking to transfer to four-year institutions.
Transfer Services provides the following services:
Professional transfer staff available to assist you with:
- Researching four-year colleges that offer the major of your choice.
- Developing a transfer plan in order to maximize transferability of your credits.
- Completing applications and overall transfer process.
- Individual appointments with a transfer specialist who will assist you with the transfer process.
The Transfer Center has an array of materials to assist you with the transfer process, including:
- Four-year college course catalogs and applications
- Guides and reference materials to four-year colleges and universities.
- Information about majors.
- Information about transfer scholarships and financial aid.
- Updated information about open houses and campus visits
- Profiles of competitive and honors programs
- Senior college fairs where students can obtain information about admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid opportunities.
- Transfer Workshops- designed to familiarize students with the “Ins and Outs” of Transfer. Some examples: Completing Successful Applications; Securing Transfer Scholarships; Writing a Winning Essay; and Transfer and Graduation Requirements.
- Campus tours to local four-year colleges and universities.
