What Fellows Do With Faculty:
Meet with faculty to support them as they create writing assignments for their classes.
Meet with faculty to support them as they improve current writing assignments.
Develop reading materials/pamphlets (example: How To Break Down a Research Paper Assignment) for faculty to improve their assignments
Act as an intermediary between faculty and their students to increase understanding of writing assignments
Conduct Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) workshops to train faculty
Help faculty create and qualify to teach Writing Intensive (WI) courses
What Fellows Do With Students:
Meet with students to listen to their concerns about class work and give feedback about these concerns to faculty/administration
Meet with students to talk about writing assignments in order to increase their understanding of what is expected of them
Develop reading materials/pamphlets (example: How To Write a Research Paper)
Read student writing and suggest areas for improvement
Help students to focus on improving the content and the logic of their writing
Refer students to qualified writing tutors
What Fellows Most Definitely Do Not Do!
Adjunct classes or act as a teaching assistant
Grade writing assignments
Write papers for students
