Dave Pier is a doctoral candidate in Music at the CUNY Graduate Center. He recently completed eleven months of field research, supported by a Fulbright grant, on Ugandan traditional music. He has taught ethnomusicology classes at Hunter College..., and continues to perform and compose music in his spare time.
