HALC SUMMER 2008- FREE WORKSHOPS

In order to start your registration process, you should first fill out the Sign-up Form on the right and submit it. After signing up successfully, you will be able to register. You can also sign into your account anytime and make modifications during the online registration period. If you need assistance, click the help button.

Students who qualify for more than one workshop/program are only allowed to register for one workshop/program per Cycle. To avoid being dropped from the workshop/program, REGISTER FOR ONE ONLY.

Additionally, students must attend every workshop session to be eligible to take the test. Any student who is absent the first day of the workshop will be dropped from the roster and will not be able to participate in the workshop.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:, Workshops are open to students who meet the following criteria:
ACT Writing: Students who have taken ESL091, or ENG 1300, or ENG 091, or ENG 1301 and have not yet passed the ACT Writing Exam.
COMPASS Reading: Students who have taken ESL 092, or ENG 1396, or ENG 092, or ENG 1399 and have not yet passed the COMPASS Reading Exam.
COMPASS M1 and/or M2 in English: Students who have not passed COMPASS M1 and/or COMPASS M2 Exam(s).
CMAT in Spanish: Students who have not passed the CUNY Mathematics Skill Exam.

Cycle II
On-line registration starts on July 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., not before.
Workshops start on July 22, 2008 and end on August 18, 2008.
Monday through Thursday, 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. or 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

All students who complete workshops will be invited to retest. Retest sessions will take place in the morning at 10:00 A.M. and in the evening at 6:00 P.M. Students will be notified of their testing date before the last day of the workshop.
